For over 100 births my goal has been to inform and nurture expecting mothers as to the benefits of birth partners/doula's, Doulapregnancy.com is a extension of this goal.
My doula services fall into three categories
- Pregnancy/Pre-natal Period
-Labor and Delivery
-Postpartum and Breastfeeding.
I am based in Sacramento, California. My doula services are available for the Northern California region.

Credentials
With over 20 years experience as a Registered Nurse(RN) I have personally delivered 32 babies. And have participated in over 100 births as a doula, qualified midwife in Ireland, and as a RN in California.
As a nurse I am intimately familiar with the often-hectic nature of hospital protocol. I've have in depth knowledge and training in pre-natal and post-natal care of mother and baby including breastfeeding. I am a certified RN and a doula with The Birthing Project of Sacramento. I believe strongly that a woman in labor and delivery should have the constant presence of another woman experienced in the birth process and who is empathetic. I see my role as an educator, a comforter and a supporter; I empower, reassure and help the woman to be as relaxed and calm as possible through the process of labor and delivery.
As a doula, a mother, a midwife and an RN, I can provide a uniquely-experienced voice "translating" options that might arise as a result of this most profound of life experiences. |
